I live in South Carolina near the North Carolina border. I need to park in a secure place when I'm home and I know I have to pay but, I'm having a hard time finding it. Is there anyone out there from the area that knows of any place? I now go into Charlotte to park and pay $75 doll. a month but I was told recently that they're no longer parking trucks there. Thanks

I am not from that area, but I run there a lot. Towards the end of the day it is hard to find a place to park overnite, lone enough for the weekend. Someone might have a tip for you tho. There is a couple spots, but they open during the day and you would be in the way.

I'm in Charlotte but my trucks are leased to a company with a terminal so it's not an issue. If you are near Rock Hill there are several drivers that leave their trucks at the Cone truck stop. Down on Hwy 9 off of I-77 heading east the independent truck stop there has a pretty big lot and some local drivers park there as well.

Where is it that you are paying to park now? I may be changing my operation and would need to find a place to park also. You should have an easier time finding a space down in SC rather than looking in the Charlotte metro area. They are not truck friendly here, passed the law about a year ago that you can't have trucks at your house, apartment, etc.. Not enforced evenly though. I was home five minutes to pick up a check and got a ticket. A guy up the road has had his truck in the driveway for six months and not a problem.

How about talking to some local warehouse owners? Are there any other truck terminals close by? You may be surprised that they will let you park at their facility. Never hurts to ask anyway.

Check with DM Bowman--sometimes they let other trucks park there--they may charge you something but im sure it wont be much. They are right off of 77 # hunterville exit--i think its exit 23 not positive but you can call them and see. Its not a gated lot or anything but they would have enough space for you to park at. It wont hurt to ask!

It's the same here in Rock Hill I don't dare park at my house. The place is going the end of the month no trucks allowed besides the place was sold for office building going up.

Thanks, but my biggest problem is finding a gated spot. I'll keep looking.

find a business or warehouse, talk to the owner or manager to see what could be worked out.

A coworker of mine parks behind a Dunkin Donuts, with permission of the owner.
