Ouch! That sucks! Glad you said something, I was just getting ready to update mine. Maybe I'll wait to see if it's a release problem. No GPS would probably make the lady inside of it start rapid repeating "Proceed to highlighted route, Proceed to highlighted route, Proceed to highlighted route, Proceed to highlighted route...".

I hate it when she does that. There's a spot in Nebraska in construction and she repeats that command for 2 minutes straight, every half second.

 

I know the feeling!! Actually it just sits and spins in one spot. I've reset, ran diagnostics, etc.. even took it to the middle of the 320 acre field behind the house for open sky best I could get was 4 satellites it can see 14 but only uses 4!

 

I updated mine (720) every thing seems to be fine except the logs are gone.

 

Hey, love the new updates. Is the resolution better now or is it just my imagination?

 

Don't know if I would like the persistent Traffic Icons and the Weather.

Don't plan on using the Traffic at all.
And don't use the Wx very much either.

 

Turned it on today seems to be fine except for 55 mph for trucks in Illinois. Got 14 of 14 satellites.

 

If you do not connect to a hot spot (wifi) you will not receive any of the extra or premium services. Weather and fuel prices are free services whereas the traffic is a premium fee service- up to you if you want to get it or not.

My opinion is that if one shells out the cash for a device, one should use all the capabilities of that device and all capabilities should be available and functioning. Otherwise why spend the money on such a function rich item.

Me too. Map error issue. Pretty sure RM is aware of it- its been reported before.
