    I don't use ATBS.
I've been an O/O since 1992 and I've never done my own book keeping. I know my costs, have a full understanding of where I'm at at any point in a given month or quarter. It's not rocket science.

I give my accountant 3 envelopes every 3 months and a few days later I get a P&L in an email confirming what I already know. If I did my own books, I would need to pay him hourly to look at my ledger prior to filling my taxes. The way I do it now, its done and in his system as soon as the girl doing the books is done.

Just like tarping a load or tying it down, there are several ways of doing it right.

I think the only way I would do a lease program is if I could get on a dedicated lane. That way I would consistently have miles and loads. No waiting for a load since your in a low freight area. I'm still talking to Schneider and will see what they can give me for numbers.

well i'm 2 weeks into my journey with the schneider l/p so far so good.there plenty of freight and at a good rate. so far the cheapest load i booked was
$1.55 pm that put me in a good area with even better paying loads. i must admit theres alot to learn in a short period of time. my mpg is really good in my cascadia evo no where near the 9.5-10mpg that freightliner advertise but i kinda figured it was too good to be true. overall i'm happy and making money thats all matters. well be safe drivers keep yall updated

A lot of the things we did back in the day won't fly now. Fuel was >$1 bla bla bla.

Buy a used tractor and lease it on to a carrier. So if they run you off , you take the truck somewhere else..........

I guess the op is still Mia ........?

JCT pays the usual: tolls, lumpers, washouts, scales. They also pay your road tax which is a little rare. They pay for plates and permits. I think their fuel surcharge is better than most. This week it's $.43/mile loaded or empty. Gotta love those long deadheads!

I don't think you will get 9.5-10 mpg with a trailer.....bobtail OK......I think the new EVO are expected to be in the 8 ish area.....

Are you on percentage choice or mileage ?
