Once you get to the location where they want the truck they are Required by law to pay to get you back home! This bus ticket alone is proof that they accepted the truck and all they equipment was in good working order.
If there is a shop at the location they want the truck dropped off at do an inspection form and have the shop sign off on it. Every company I worked with required me to do this. -
You don't have to do all that,, don't complicate things man... just take a leave of absence and tell them you will be out of work for than 2 weeks and they will tell you where to turn the truck in and then go from there...... im telling you that's how you play the games once you do that you don't have to worry too much about your dac report because they wouldn't put anything on your dac until 30 days so you get a month to find another gig.. Good luck with Werner Careless lolllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Even then they should not trash your DAC. You didn't abandon the equipment. Under Werners LOA policy if you're out for more than 30 days, without approval, you've "voluntarily quit." They can't say you left them in a bad spot. They took your truck, you aren't under dispatch. If they did put something on there, you would have pretty solid ground to contest it.

What law is this that you speak of?
