Was traveling the lane of I-80 through Nebraska and noticed four Swift trucks pulling C.R. England trailers. The trucks weren't all together..... spaced by about an hour, or so.

Swift have some sort of lane they do for C.R. England?

Lol. If Swift actually took loads from England I wonder who made money on the deal? How scary would it be if those 2 combined forces?

You and I had to be running close yesterday. Lol I see them too. I was going to post asking too. Lol. It got me wondering what was going on when I seen them I seen 2 close together but I pulled off at exit 186 bossel pilot or something like that. I was headin east They were heading west. I hope they weren't trying to be discret about it because it stuck out like a sore thumb

Who's Wabash's best customer? Who's Wabash going to contract to deliver single trailer orders?

Here's a lesson. SWIFT was actually started by a former C.R. England employee, I assume it was a lease op that eventually bought the truck from them and separated to form his own fleet. It would not entirely be surprising if SWIFT was doing some sort of contract with England. I imagine they were delivering the trailers to England (perhaps new trailers or maybe abandoned). I'm a flatbedder with Western, but I've hauled an empty van once to another company that we had no real affiliation with.

On a side note, if you haul a thermoking reefer, guess who helped design that sucker to what it is today? England.

I worked for a reefer company one time & for a few months we didn't have enough trucks for the business, so Swift pulled some of our reefer loads with our trailers. They had the drivers and tractors available & sent several to our terminal.

Hobby Lobby and UPS pull a lot of Swift trailers. In the span of one week I pulled a Dart, Werner, Empire, and finished with a UPS...all behind my Swift truck. Helping a customer move their freight when the other guys didn't have drivers available.
