Sooner or Later sheet happens......backed in to hook up to a very heavy loaded trl that was sitting on angled ground, heard a click so I rolled up legs and pulled the trl tandem bar and was going to slide the tandems. When I pulled forward the jaw were not hooked onto the kinpin and the trl slid tilted so it was sitting halfway on the fifth wheel and other half on the frame.....Oh Sheeeet! It was a very hot day and thought No problem...I will get the yard dog to lift it up so I can roll down the legs....It was to low for the yard dog to get under, so I spent the next 30 min cranking the Son-Of-A Beech up.... while the plant safety guy took photos. No damage to the contents of the load occured as it was charcoal. Lesson learned was....skip the hurry mode, always check the jaws closing around the kingpin, do a tug test before rolling up legs.

I always do things in the same order to not mess up,but then again, sometimes I leave my brain at home.that should be rule #1 ?

My short term memory is worthless so I usually go over things 4 or 5 times cuz I'm not sure if I checked them or not 5 minutes prior lol. But one mistake I have done a couple times was capping my fuel tanks when I was a company driver and the fuel lines would get pretty crazy at 5 and I got in a hurry to keep the line moving. Never messed up hooking a trailer tho but I do haul bulk so I usually stay hooked to the same one. Thankfully

I tried to calculate how many times I have changed trailers. Don't know. Over a 1/2 a million maybe. Got to be fast if you want any money in a drop yard. Makes me blush, I enjoy it.

Alright already. Forgive me for I Didn't raise the bags after sliding to the girl next door. The hang nail (PIN) made me late. 25 years ago.
