Looking for Tripac pricing new or used.

i tracked it for a while but it was around .01 cents and not worth tracking regularly, I note what I'm getting for miles to a tank once and a while to make sure it's not using too much, but other than that every 2 tanks I top it off. If you get it at the pump its $35 or so to fill it.

 

Life for me is around 6.8. BUT, until 2 months ago I was with a carrier that hauled a lot of tri-axels with 65000 in the box and sea cans, that sucked fuel, new carrier is a lot lighter loads, and no trip-axels at all, ave so far last 2 months is 7.4, but I seem to be settling in lanes that the back haul is REALLY light so I'm hoping June will be closer to 8 and July over 8 if I can keep the idling down. Had a Texas run 2 weeks ago and idled a lot, it still got 6.8for the trip, and I know it would have been over 7 without the idling, hence the tri PAC hunt!

 

had a carrier on my last truck, wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, tripac uses bunk heater, and inverter, which I have already, and doesn't have the huge box under the bunk area. Had alternator problems, one a year, and generator problems in mine. They will tell you you can't rebuild the generator section, they lie, I bought 2 at $2000, until I was told buy somebody on here to take it to a good electric motor repair shop, $350 later it never broke again, mine also ate antifreeze, did head gasket, then a new head, they said it may be a cracked block, I bought a used kubota Z482 engine for it but the truck burnt before I got a chance to put it in..... Still have it on my bench for sale if anybody needs one.....
tripac is the way to go for me, just a big alternator to charge batteries, and an ca compressor, no generator.

 

I check every tank, and reset the dash at fill up, I do monthly and quartly averages, the tank to tank is never any more than 1-2 tenths different from the dash. As I stated, when I got into hills and such it went down to 8.8. I'm home till Tuesday, and will fill in the yard when I leave and will post what my pump to pump is then!!!

edit;; this was with, 10k load, 98kms hr, newer trailer with good rubber and side skirts, mostly flat running ohio, michigan, ontario, Quebec, then NB, NS, that's where it took a killin. I filled in Mississauga and still have 1/2 tank left, usually with my old company and a tri- axel load, I would be below 1/4 tanks left.

 

No I convert it.. Actually have a spread sheet for my monthly averages my wife (accountant, spread sheet guru) made up for me. I have columns to put liters in , gallons in, and start and finish mileages and it gives me the mpg in US gallon and imperial gallon.

 

The Tripac seem to be quieter, and don't have the generator to die? I
I also don't have room under the bunk for the huge heater/ac box
The tri PAC just has a small box that fits under there.
