Exactly. Except the apprentice part. I picture an apprentice as someone who labors to learn a skill and do it well.

A steering wheel holder is willing or capable of getting the load from point a to b with little regard to safety, image and understanding the industry he or she is a part of.

Sad it has to be like this but you said it best.Alot of the public including the law and trucking companies consider all drivers steering wheel holders. If they only knew.

the ones with no cb's
or the ones that only turn them on after they are stopped in a traffic jam
or are too afraid to get off the big road and drive around said traffic jamSheepDog and fisher guy Thank this. -
Are you serious with the local comment? Hopefully you meant nothing by it, because I've been local for ten years, not only in Florida but in Pennsylvania as well with snow, ice, and mountains and local drivers go to some of the crappiest, tightest, not made for a truck places I've ever seen. I pride myself on my backing skills, all of which I learned through the years of going to ridiculous shippers/receivers.
Giggles the Original, 900,000-tons-of-steel, SheepDog and 2 others Thank this. -

every once and a while I would like a single screw day cab for 10 minutes anyway -
