My GPS led me to a 9'-4" clearance.

    Why?

    The GPS was not driving, and using it with your eyes open and brain in gear will not lead to a problem.

    not arguing...but we managed just fine without them for many years......

    thats the problem with lots of ppl that use em...they rely TOO much on them and DONT use their brain....

    I got an atlas like everyone said to but I think it is broken; it is not updating my position as I drive.:smt017

    Thats rule #1, but rule #2, if the gps is wrong, revert to rule #1

    I drove for many years without one as well. In fact, rarely had to use the atlas.

    Al the gps does for me is calculates time to arrive.

    If a person cannot handle the gps and driving, I sure do not want them reading an atlas and driving.
