The only one of those I'd have complete and total faith in is the Satellite Radio!truckon Thanks this.

You must have complete faith in your GPS in order for it to work right. Kinda like crucifixes and vampires.

My 520 led me to Rattlesnake Pass (WA129).... lesson learned....

This is the first time mine has done this and since it was a side street in a small Indiana town, I'm guessing most databases wouldn't have it listed.

....and gunned the mess outta it! -
the 11'6" underpass in Denver has been in place since the 50's, it's pretty much every color under the rainbow from all the trucks that have it it. There are 4 signs before it on either side warning of a 11'6" clearance, alas, today, a 13'6" truck tried to go under it. I guess he figured since his flatbed was only 5' tall, he would make it.

Honch, dutchieinquebec and 48Packard Thank this.

Just yank the tires off of the truck, and you should be able to squeeze under.
I use my gps mainly for distance and time estimates. But it is handy to know when a turn is coming up. In medium fog or snow covered roads, I get a hint of a curve that could be coming up and I can slow up a bit so I don't run into the ditch. Of course, you need to use your head while using these things!!!48Packard Thanks this. -
That reminds me, I think it was in Mass I saw a sign 13-3. Now Im on the brakes cause I know Im 13-6, however there was a truck up ahead of me and it wasnt slowing down. When he went under the bridge it cleared by about 2 inches. I was cautious but figured he made it I will to, it was fine.
