You might want to try posting in the Jobs forum:
http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/trucking-jobs/
You can post any info you'd like in there about the positions you have available, including your phone number. But, phone numbers aren't permitted in forums other than that. -

Is anyone out there hiring noobs?
Every place I've seen so far is asking for 2+ years OTR experience.
I got my Class A, Tanker and Haz-Mat endorsements, no accidents or tickets in the past 3 years and I can piss clean.
I would like to start out in the oilfields but if it's something I have to work up to then I'll go bark up that tree.
Thanks. -

Hi ya'll...I am looking to get in to hauling crude in Texas. I am currently driving for the United States Postal Service and bring home about $1500 to $2000 bi-weekly and home every night, however. I want to double that, and I think I can do that hauling crude, but I'm not leaving my job with the post office unless its worth it.I have been driving truck since 2004 no tickets no accidents. Been with the post office for over 7 years. Drove OTR w/ Prime for 1 year when I first started driving. Have Double/Triples Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. Just recently got my TWIC card and currently working on getting H2S certificate and OSHA-10. I have pulled double 28' and single 28' pups, 45' , 48', 53' trailers(dry box and reefer) also 20 'and 28' straight truck w/Tag axles and lift-gates. Even hauled Hazmat before. BUT NEVER pulled tanker before. Any advice would be helpful. Also ,if you can tell me what to expect in crude oil hauling business. I will relocate, but only if they make it worth my time. but I'm not leaving Texas.

How hard is it to get on as a driver with the Postal Service? Aren't the benefits and retirement amazing with the USPS?
-
It took me about a year to get on at the post office. no the benefits are not amazing...average at best and retirement is not what it used to be. reason I am looking to change is that the way the post office is going I may not be driving much longer. Downsizing and such. although I would likely stay employed...I would probably have to carry mail from house to house. Not that its a bad job, its just that I'm a truck driver, that's what I do see, that's MY thing. 3rd gen truck driver.I just love to drive truck, thats all.d o g Thanks this.
