I think a lot of people may just be seeing the difference in the Cap width, not every tire gets the same tread width. Couple that with the irregular wear and it creates a strong allusion.
Michelin offers 305/70R22.5 and 315/80R22.5 as well as 305/75R24.5 in a couple models. -

I'm not familiar with the freightliner suspensions but would assume you have trailing arm bushings too. Might want to check them also if you haven't already. I usually look at them when loaded and it's pretty obvious if they are bad.

hend. rubber block susp. with the 4 tq rods the 2 run from the fram to the rear end on the top and 2 run to the center brace in the middle of the frame....hope that this fixe the problem.. I looked at the tq rods that run from the frame to the rear and they are in bad shape and kinda twisted on the mounts...( I can see clean metal wear the bushing use to be at) but now it has moved about 1/8 .. I think it is pushing the rears around like the truck is turning ..but will know tomm. after I pick up the new parts and get them on...
I
will check the bearings and seals as well while I am working on it... -
well little update replaced the bushing in the tq rods and it helped a little but still have a small amount of bounce so I will be doing the end bushing on my walking beams next to see if that helps out... I got under the truck and 2 of the end bushing have splits in them so that may be the problem
