My current employer is looking to cut my hours. So I've been looking for a new job. Western Express offered me a Northeast Regional position, saying I'd be home every weekend and take home between$950-$1200 per week. Called Schneider National Intermodal and was offered .$44 per mile,$30 per load plus some sort of performance bonus. I could work either Sunday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Saturday. Could make $65000 a year. Is this true? I'm leaning towards Schneider. Any advice?
schneider national intermodal or western express northeast regional?

I don't know that I have any advice but was curious, with Western Express, is it N.E. regonal flatbed or van?
-
I think they have both, but I was going van
-
I'd go with Schneider, based on what you posted; no question about it.

I run with Schneider Bulk division and started out at 41 cpm I really Like this company our Intermodal division just picked up a huge contract with the railroad i would go for schneider
-
I would go with Schneider but check out Hirschbach motor lines. According to their hiring area, you should be getting home every 5-7 days.

Been with Schneider for @ 6months as an O/O and they are first rate.
Jrdude5 Thanks this. -
Thanks for all the advice. Have a phone interview with Schneider today.

It's my understanding that most of Western Express' van division runs Northeast Regional. Poland Springs bottled water is the biggest dry box account they have, and they pull lots of trailers out of Maine to service the account.
Water loads are massively heavy and generally suck with a gutted truck...just sayin'. -
I got an automated phone call from Western Express yesterday offering a $3000 sign on bonus. Are they getting desperate?
