What type of foot ware do you use while driving? I have seen company pictures and youtube videos showing drivers wearing everything from tennis shoes, cowboy boots and steel toe boots.

Dickies socks in the truck, and out of the truck- steel toe boots if required, boat shoes(only Sperry) if checking my load or pretty much anything else. I like the boat shoes for flat bed work because I find the sole gives me good grip when climbing around- even in the rain.
My cowboy boots have leather soles and you wont find me wearing then in the rain or wearing them where I can slip on my butt.

New Balance running shoes, lightweight, sturdy soles and holes that allow it to "breath".

While driving?? Slip on shoes, and at times I slip them off so I can wiggle my toes and move my ankles around... Helps with circulation...

I will wear my Sketcher's while driving and my steel-toe boots while working outside on the truck/trailer. At least I think that is what I will do once I get my training done............

With all the various types of liquids you're likely to step in at a truckstop (everything from oil to urine), I wouldn't want any type of sole that might absorb anything. Sorry, but I can't even imagine walking around in flip-flops around a t/s. Just the thought of it repulses me.

I will walk around in my Nike walking shoes from time to time, but if I'm driving, well...I've used boots for so long that tennis shoes don't give me the same feel. A little idiosyncratic, I know...but it is what it is.

On a loading day, outside the truck, I wear steel toed boots. Inside, slip ones. Non loading day, I wear the cowboy boots with my nicer threads.
