The 10 hr rule is only for bus drivers. The break is actually nice because now your preplan has to allow for it no more tight loads where you eat while you drive and piss in a jug.

if you do it right then yes, technically unless your released you must remain on duty at the docks.
What I have been doing is giving my cell phone and asking if they can just call me when they are ready, so far most of them will.Grumppy Thanks this. -
We don't have 14 hours, only 13.5 hours of combined on-duty not driving and on-duty driving. The 30-minute breaks counts -against- the 14 hours.
