Ive read the whole thing.... the main reason I want to work at IRT is that I can take the truck home, run in the lane I want to run, and try tanker work

I would rather wait 12 hours to be loaded with a tank since the customer loads it and I would just hangout in the truck... Right now ive been waiting 3-4 hours to get loaded at places and then still have to get out and secure and tarp everything....

your lucky then... I applied to a local woodchip hauling outfit backhome but they require two years and haven't called me so im looking for a place that I can take the truck home with me and not run OTR so Indian River is the best bet right now if they would ever call me back

Been reading through all these post's for IRT. Are you still working for them? I am set for orientation on 7/23/13 out of the Turlock, CA terminal. Amy mentioned to me that I would be running the 7 western region (CA, OR, WA, ID,UT, NV, AZ). She said drivers avg between 2500-3000 mi per week.

Good luck with that most all my loads were north east back to plovis nm if I was lucky enough to get out of east coast they treat you ok at orientation but you are nothing to them after truck assignment 21 cents a mile and wait time to wash out and load eats up most of your hours good luck I would not recommend them to anyone
