Yes, it's true. The signs are up on the outside and the place is currently in a state of chaos as they are trying to get the outside finished along with the restaurant. It's supposed to open this month.
Can anyone confirm this? Flying J Ruther Glen, VA

I swore off all Golden Corrals a couple of years ago when I saw several young kids sticking their booger hooks in the chocolate waterfalls, licking it off and repeating. Parents standing right beside of them making no attempt to admonish them. DISGUSTING!

There are now TWO Pilot Flying J's at Ruther Glen / Carmel Church, Virginia. I 95, X 104. Now, about the buffet situation. The Flying J in the southwest corner of the intersection will keep it's Denny's restuarant. The Flying J in the northeast corner of that intersection (that used to be a Petro - Iron Skillet) and then when it became an independent truck stop (Ruther Glen Travel Center - Patriot Farms) THAT will change to a Golden Corral. The manager of that was the same manager at the Iron Skillet several years ago. This change over was to have been sometime in the Summer of 2013 but now it is scheduled for 1 November 2013, this Friday.

The one up in Elkton, MD at the Flying J is apparently open... Much to the chagrin of a local family.

The billboard on I-95 says there's a Denny inside the restaurant, and the local newspaper says the Golden Corral is "near" the truck stop. Since neither the Wendy's that's still out front, nor the Golden Corral isn't open 24 hours a day, it must be on an out parcel out front somewhere too. Unless Pilot is going the way to T/A and offering restaurants that aren't open at night (like the Dallas T/A).
