Slim, the easiest way to pass the pretrip is to study it every day. They should have given you a paper to study use it memorize it and try to break it down section by section. Just continue to study it the 3 weeks you are on the road. If you are not driving then study. Have your instructor work with you on it while you drive. You will be fine. Good luck.

Im just going by the study sheets prime hands out. They said if you can say it word for word and get the in cab stuff right then you will pass. My trainer said I have a couple thngs to work on but I wouod have passed the test. I had been I n the truck kess than 24 hrs and only did the pre trip inspection once. Its very easy once you memorize the two phrases and know where to use them. Good luck everyone!
BigJayDragon and Charlami Thank this. -
How long did you study for your CDL permit the first time? Ohio has 50 questions and you need to get 40 right or its a fail. As soon as you miss 11 the test stops. I went in to day to pick up my study guide and the lady there asked if I wanted to try without studying. She checked my eyes and sent me to a computer. I asked "does this count against me if I fail" she said not at all. You can come back in tomorrow if you like. every day until you pass for free. I made it to 37 correct then poof. I missed number 11. Oh well, I will study the HIGH ROAD series and the state book for a day or two and try for real maybe Friday.
Charlami Thanks this.
