Old thread but tossing my 1.5 cents worth in here anyway.
Went from a 2010 Columbia to 2014 Cascadia as a company driver and really disliked the loss of storage space in the driver compartment. The layout was just nicer for storing things in easy to reach way. Now waiting on my 2012 KW T700 to get some stuff fixed before I go put my first miles on it, but got to spend a bit of time on the inside, and I like it's layout WAY better than either of the two FLs. For the record, I also got to look close at a Volvo 780 (VERY nice but opted for the KW) and a NEW T680 (just liked the interior layout of the 700 better, but VERY nice truck). Like most thingsevaluate your tools (trucks) the way you would a hammer. Will it do the job, will it last, is it an economical purchase, and how does it feel in your hand (when you handle the controls). Any of these can be made to feel more like home after you have moved into them.
be careful as you start driving your 700
the turning radius is horrible compared to the Cascadia
you will get yourself boxed in backing up somewhere without leaving more room
