Exactly, he was fired before the road test. It was a fabricated excuse to terminate.
Two faced trainer told him he done well and told the company a different story.Rawesome Thanks this. -
Roehl did you a favor. Their pay scale is an insult to anyone who belongs behind a steering wheel.

Has anyone ever met a "Trainer" who was not a few bricks shy of a full load? The vast majority of people companies call "trainers" are Ego-maniacal nut jobs, with a false sense of superiority. They think that they are perfect, and love to ruin other people's lives. J.B Hunt had a trainer who was caught stealing money from trainees, and forcing them to drive when the qualcomm said the trainer was driving. A few months later, he was right back to training. This shows just how seriously big companies take their training programs. Most companies use these scam "Trainers" to run a truck as a team operation, while paying one of the drivers dirt wages. When that trainee fails, who cares? Just put the next warm body in the truck, and get it rolling again.Gold_Miner Thanks this.

This is the reason I went to an independent school. I heard too many horror stories about trainers leaving students at truck stops and terminals. And the company saying you gotta find your own way home.
-
Im not sure its going to matter if you went to an independant school or company. You are still going to get sent out with a trainer with most companies. They are not going to turn someone loose with no expirence in a truck by themselves right out of school.

I had experience driving on our farm when i was growing up. and I'm going to Watkins and Shepard. They have a 10 day orientation and then your solo. -
