And..(I am INTIMATELY familiar with that particular MBM DC/Riverside) the transportation supervisor is (A.) a Royal prick...(B) you will routinely be expected to lie, cheat and steal to finish the route. (C) Like unloading 1800-2000 pieces a night after backing in to anything from a Circle K/KFC etc..? Down a ramp and hand truck that stuff in...and stack/rotate it, depending on the customer. The turnover is incredible there. And now that MBM has been bought out, it's even worse..Good luck..:biggrin_25523:brother the turnover is crazy in there bad reputation is better mclane in san bernardino

I just delivered to MBM in Rancho Cucamonga... talked to a couple of the drivers there, nothing specific, but they seemed in good spirits and happy, not a lot of griping.

Not sure if this is industry wide, bit I spoke with a Sysco driver just yesterday in New York City and he was telling me they are having major problems getting new people hired because so many of them can't drive. City driving is a different animal, me I like the open road.

Yeah I've heard sysco is going downhill and fast. Both of the MBM guys ii talked to had no complaints, said the money is great. But be ready to work for it!! One of them said he had a 3 say route, a two day route, and a one day route I believe, said he works six days a lot and on his six day weeks he grosses around $1600. The mbm terminal closest to me has a lot of brand new equipment and liftgate trailers. Don't have electric jacks though but they do have manual pallet jacks. The other mbm terminal near me has no liftgates. Just ramp and dolly. I'll pass on that!!

I worked at mbm a while ago. I didnt see a need for a lift gate with the deliveries I had. Seeing as all the heavy stuff was in the freezer and cooler, you wouldnt be able to get it to the gate anyway. All the stuff near the gate (which was dry stuff like cups, lids, paper products and panco) was relatively light. It would have really been a waist of time IMHO. Its work but you get used to it. I say this and I have never had a heavy lifting job before or since this. I lost about 30 pounds in 2 months. :) It was great money and great home time.
