Well my 30 minute break turned into an 8 hour split today, since Tootsie Roll took their sweet time unloading my trailer.

And I had to stay awake the whole time to wait on it, and then drive up her to WI to pick up. Already tight for time, my headlight goes out as I'm exiting Chicago, so I had to stop and deal with that.

Started running at 0200 this morning. Still up at 2250 getting loaded, then gotta creep somewhere to sleep. #### I'm exhausted.

 

I'm not that young.

 

I'm just a dumb rookie and I don't know all the ways to cheat on my logs yet...aka...Why am I sleeping in the Gary yard and not in my bed tonight?

Oh wait, I know. It's because I mistakenly (naively) logged my time while I was loading as LOADING! I forgot to "finish loading" 30 minutes before I left the shipper in order to get the "proper rest" before driving 8 hours.

Add me to the list of disgruntled users.

 

You do know that you CAN EDIT your logs, right?

 

I am aware. There were a number of things working against me. It was an extremely tight deadline to begin with, and I was a bit pissy once I realized what happened. I keep notes of my times so that I have an understanding of the hours I have to work with and not simply rely on the QC to tell me what to do.

But that's sort of my point, your suggestion and what I realized in retrospect illustrates that the ONLY way I could have made my deadline would have been to manipulate the logs.
