The weird thing is that on Truckpaper, they are offering trucks as low as 389 000 miles.

I bought a 2007 T600 Melton Truck from MHC in Chattanooga TN, Rodney was the salesperson February 2012. Truck had 505,000 miles on it, only problem I have had with it other than changing oil and regular maintenance was the ecm module went out (my fault, I kicked the panel by mistake where it was and the rest was a very expensive learning lesson.

If I were you I would call and find out where they are in OK and try to talk direct to the person that is in charge of selling them, cause you can get them a lot cheaper, but you don't get any promise with them then.

They did have some in Birmingham at the KW Place at one time, when I was checking around for them, the guy in OK offered one to me in better shape than mine was (done made the deal) or I would have went that route. It was same truck as I bought, mileage was within couple thousand miles, but the PRICE WAS $8,000.00 cheaper cause they wanted to move it.

When I bought mine, I got the Engine, Trans, Axle Warranty and felt better about the truck. Overall, I would for sure buy another one from them, but not sure about them selling one that is that low miles, not saying they are, but I would want to see the truck and make sure it is not a crashed truck that has been fixed.

    Stilgar Thanks this.

Tulsa, OK, on a small two lane. they are off a highway I know that. Just look where all the blue trucks go and you'll find it. Went to orientation with them before and they do have nice equipment

Western Express has just required that all trucks get a walk around by a mechanic at the security gate. They check tires, brakes, lights. And anything else besides the engine compartment, which I do anyways.

I wouldn't call it directly LOL. Exit 238, then go for the west bound entrance ramp. Entrance ramp is to the left, Melton to the right. I may be a bit biased because I drive for them, but I would buy one in a heart beat. Already setup with a decent headache rack, tarp box on the side, and APU. Check out Melton's website, they have a link to their direct used truck/trailer sales there.

I agree that big fleet maintenance is not the greatest, that being said I took the bait and and am glad I did. Bought an 06 in 09 when the economy was bottomed out - #### good deals at that time. truck had 350,000 miles on it. Lots of warranty left on engine & driveline. Super clean. They even threw in 8 new drives no cost. Intake vale actuaters are the only thing replaced in 400,000 miles.
Nice headache rack, big side box on the frame, spec'd out nice. Good truck I think. I samle oil every 25,000 and showing no abnormal wear.
Something else I like about the Melton trucks -there is a keyed brake lock in the dash - a little extra piece of mind.
To top it off she's averaging 7 mpg for 2013.
I bought mine from MHC Atlanta South. Try to wheel and deal em. They delivered to Florida at no cost.

Those are the older ones...all of our newer ones have an electric plug you have to have plugged in for it to start. Just below the ignition. :)

Its a key....in the middle of the dash? If you don't see it, you might not have it...
