Overall weight?

    For steers n drive tires what's the overall weight max them two combine should be? Mines was 39000 n gross weight was 72000....

    12000lbs on steers and 34000lbs on drives,so 46000lbs combined.You had 72000lbs gross,that leaves 33000lbs on trailer axle,so you are ok.

    Well your steer can be 12K and your drive can be 34k = 46K gross for the two.

    But not knowing what each is bad. If you have 39k total you could have 15k or more on your steer. That's why it is important to get your axle weights. Some states do allow you up to 15k on your steer but off the top of my head I don't think any of the states border each other.

    That means you had 27500 on drives,so you're fine.

    Who pays the overweight ticket if you get one them or you? I think i already know the answer to my question ,so i know i don't end up paying bucks.

    Just starting out it's a good question to ask. Don't forget the tires can get you too. They hardly ever do just know where to look and figure how much those tires can hold. You may be asked at a scale house or any other inspection to show where the max weight the each tire will hold and where it's located. And yes you are the one that get's the ticket.
