Smoking has no effect when hauling gasoline unless you're unloading. See tanker yankers smoking all the Tim until they go to offload. Keep in mind food grades are smooth bores. Bout like hauling hanging meat. You're going to feel like a rookie again shifting gears until you get used to the surge. Also keep in mine especially in the winter SMOOTH AND EVEN BRAKING if you don't want to go shooting through a stop light. Had a milk hauler do that last year right through the light when the surge hit. Its definitely a challenge. Not for some people. I have picked an old milk haulers brain that lives up the street about it a few times. Each time he's told me if I wanted to run a tank to get hazmat and haul gasoline. I have a feeling I would be like the cowboy in armed and dangerous though. I smoke like a fricken chimney.

i like pulling tank. smooth bore takes some fineness baffled is a breeze. after pulling tanks for a few years it feels weird pulling anything that doesn't move.
