it's a steel hauler, onion hauler, sheet rock hauler. it can be anything you want to be hauler.
looks to be in good shape though. but keep in mind. some shippers won't load a trailer older then 10 years. although i've only ran into a couple and they both were copper -
never been questioned on a flat...I think that rule is mostly van/reefer.

When saying steel hauler if refering to a coil package it is extra cross members in the middle of the trailer (right above where you took the picture)

Please tell me where you had problems with that 10 year old crap. I need to mark them on my DO NOT HAUL list. Specially when I pull up with an older trailer and the 3 year old transcrap pulls up all rusted out and cracked but they will load that and not my trailer.

I have heard that many times in van but havn't heard it much on the flatbed side. Just wanted to know where you were pulling them loads out of to avoid problems lol. -
Never heard of an age restriction anywhere. However when loading jet engines at some bases they have come out and inspected the condition of tires and air bags of the truck and trailer. Don't know if they really knew what they were looking for. They did tell me they have turned people away, but given the cost of the cargo I don't blame them. I always get the truck washed before I show up.

The D.O.T. man is the one who needs to be impressed not some shipper. You should be fine. Trailer looks good
