for the guy asking from Missouri you dont have to run regional. you can do 48 if you really wanna. at first they put me 48 then i said no give me regional. but regional i mean its like constant loads and its always back to back and man its like they are late a lot. it was annoying. and i felt like regional was OTR because they never sent me home weekly like they said they would. its all what you wanna do. midwest is 41 cents a mile up to 2400 miles a week. 48 is 28 cents up to 3500. so it depends what you wanna do. midwest is mainly mccain fleet.

oh and chris the person who sent you the stuff to switch the load was a load planner not a DM. thats who usually delas with them. i mean its good to help out central because they might hook u up later on. but its all up to you
Buckeye91 Thanks this. -
Thanks for the info sammys45. So do they keep you running hard all the time? and what kind of trucks do they have in the Midwest?
-
While Kraft is quasi-regional. We were speaking of the Midwest Regional fleet out of Rochelle. When things go right, you only get 2000-2500 miles a week and it is a company position only that pays .41 cpm. When I was first invited I asked if you could lease and stay regional and I was told "no."

Unless you left something out, it just sounds like they are promoting an option. Central has been pretty good so far, that's why I chose to commit to leasing a truck.
I have had spurts where I was driving by the house every other week, bjt have now had a dry spell for a while...such is trucking. I haven't asked for much official time off by my own choice, but you shouldbe able to ask off once a month plus whatever drivebys you might luck into. Being in a cargo lane helps quite a bit. -
Well today certainly turned into one charlie foxtrot of a mess. Got to KAMPDC thirty minutes before 0730 appt time. Told trailer is already in a door being loaded. Fantastic.
Drop my empty then head over to wait. Six hours later (partially expected) I get the green light, pull her put, see that it's sealed and head for the gate. Then the fun began.
I get to the gate and after waiting what seemed an hour they tell me, "we ain't got no bills" followed up with a "actually not all the POs were loaded."
So I turn around and head back in with my sealed trailer. Instructed to go back to the dock and wait for the product to be loaded on the trailer. This never happens. I check with the security office every thirty mins for the next five hours. "They're working on it!" is all I'm told.
Finally at 1700 I show back up for my thirty minute annoyance check. There has been a shift change. The new guy behind the counter has no idea what I'm talking about, but was very helpful in getting things sorted out. After a quick phone call he tells me the trailer is ready, hook up and bring her around.
So I go back to the trailer, hook up and pull it out. Same seal that was on before. I get to the security gate... And low and behold they have the paperwork. I get quickly signed out. But the icing on the cake? The paperwork clearly shows that it was printed at 1315...
No product was ever added to the trailer (dock light never turned red) and when asked why no one in the last four hours could tell me the papers were ready the man's reply was "no clue, we're not day shift."
Its going to take a really super duper long load to get me to return to KAMPDC. Could be worse actually, lol, I could still be sitting at the dock if the day crew worked around the clock.

I warned you! KAMPDC is THE WORST kraft facility in the nation. Anytime I see other kraft dedicated drivers (even from other companies) at another location and things are going slow, we all enjoy the fact that at least we aren't at union city. At least you survived; they've turned me away at the gate before because the load wasn't even pulled yet by the time I got there, much less being loaded.unloader Thanks this.
