well let me know when that $40 for the lot lizard turns into $1000's in medical bills later....
I would rather go without and wait to get home to my wife than get some dirty skank who has been in 20 trucks that night

If you are traveling on I-44 and I-35 in the Kansas, Missouri area, you will need to keep money on hand for tolls. Make sure you keep the receipt. Husbands company has them submit info at the time to approve for repay on next check.
He usually get only a $100.00 a week and keeps ahold of it unless needed.
Invest later when you have a truck in cooking and cooling means so you don't have to eat at a fast food joint all the time. A trip through Walmart once in a while and you can get all kinds of good foods to eat that have a lot sodium and fat in them.
Your company will be the one to let you know the rules as to what they want. Hopefully you will be with a company that will want a tractor wash at least once a month outside of a terminal.
Also a good leaf blower helps with the cleanup of trailers on the inside vs a broom.
If in doubt, weigh the load.
Do your pre and post trip inspections. Carry extra bulbs, it just might keep you out of trouble. A few hand tools also is a good idea.
Keep an extra mudflap and twist ties, it can be used as a floor mat until needed, a floor mat can be used if it is a halfway decent one also just in case you get to a site and one is missing on a trailer.. AZ is particular I heard. -
$49.75 for the New Jersey Turnpike -
Not sure about a toll, but Hunt's Point is $25.00. If you don't have a TWIC card at some ports it may cost you $25.00 to get in, Gloucester is one I think last year was this way, it may have changed by now.
