The 30 minute break is much to do about nothing. Now if I could just get back all the wasted time I spent on listening to all the verbal hand wringing and doomsday predictions over the past couple of mos.

And I will add that I believe the changes they've made in neutering the 34 hour restart won't end up being as bad as the prognosticators are predicting either. Just not that big of a deal to run on recap.

Well just as its your opinion to think its all about nothing its others opinion to think it is about alot. There have already been numerous drivers that have been burnt by the new restart crap. Keep up the cheering for the new bs regs but don't count out the guys that know better. :biggrin_25518:

Well, simple math contradicts this. Not that I am against from a pure greed standpoint. Taking 6-14% capacity out of the market is going to drive rates up and open up more opportunities. Now the typical steering wheel holder or mileage pay lease driver will never see the benefits of this and will be impacted on this (because they make money driving miles, miles, miles). When a company has an asset sitting more and not generating they have to raise rates. And this is industry wide.

Not sure how they can already have been "numerous" drivers burnt by this. We have just passed the first week with the regs in place and the impact of not getting a reset or not being able to account for a reset won't be felt till next week and the end of the month.

But I am sure numerous drivers have been complaining about something they think happened without understanding what they are talking about.

when you have a driver ask what is a recap with 8 years experience
    on a different thread
I figure we all get what we deserve
the whole is never any stronger then the weakest link

when cell phones are outlawed in trucks
the weakest link will be the driver speeding down mont eagle
in the rain cell phone plastered to his ear

    BigBadBill Thanks this.

It's amusing to read some of these posters. We barely completed one week under these new rules and guys are reporting a 6 to 14% drop in production. Right! Fox News commentators were predicting Romney was going to beat what's his name by a landslide! How's that working out?
