I worked for combined.. Don't waste your time with them.. Unless you like to be lied to. I was an owner op with them pulling a 9 axle. They sat me at home for over a month.. So when I left.. They lied on my DAC report. They were very upset that I pulled a 9 axle out of their fleet. They said that I was fired, funny I was in ATS's office when they fired me, they said I refused loads.. Funny again I called at least once a day and more.. Never being offered a load. And they said that I used unauthorized funds? Heck I used my own money. They will defiantly load their boys around you, no matter how long you have sat. As for Cressler, I don't know, but I would think that Platinum would have gotten all of Keens assets . I think being back in Pa. That Keen might be a good place. I think Bill Keen wanted to just retire.. From what I heard he was getting up there in age.

When did you sign your 9 axle on with ATS. Thought they put a ban on o/o with trls.

Funny thing is....I know a guy with a 9 axle doing VERY WELL with Combined and has been doing VERY well for many years now. You sit for 9 axle freight...that is just the way it is. The guy I know hauls a few loads and goes home for a month....he loves it.

Have not went anywhere yet Cowboy...just exploring options. So far no one beats Combined.

i was an O/O with them. I bought a 9 axle trailer from combined.. The head dispatcher told me that trailer wouldn't really fit into the fleet and I weighed to much. Funny it was fine for combined before I bought it. I had to spend over 15,000 to make it legal. Your friend is he an O/O. Or a driver? I knew a driver there that they paid a minimum of 85,000 for him. They paid me 83% of my fuel sur charge , permit money that they got for the load , and pilot cars. At that time a 9 didn't sit for very long. When I went to ATS they had a 10 axle load waiting for me.. And kept running the whole time I was there. I just didnt like all the tarping that was required. When it had my 7 I ran for 4-6 weeks and was home anywhere from 1 week to 4 months. Now if your friend is a driver.. They get paid a salary and when slow can go home and sit by the phone. And then when they work they also get a mileage pay.

No I sold the 9 and used just my tractor pulling their trailer. And I just had a 3 axle tractor.

the guy I know is an Owner Op. He bought one of Combined 9 axle trailers and is/was doing very well. BUT the truck and trailer are paid for. He has pulled for Combined for 17 years. He was a company driver and then bought truck and trailer through Combined. Now there are a few others that have came and went that could not make it. I would not pull for Combined if I was an Owner/Op competing with company drivers is not good...In my opinion.
