Need Info for Keim TS in Sabetha, Ks

Do they hire out of Texas? Also about how often do they get you home?

 

Bonham, you all have a mobile home outfit there we go into on occasion. Over on the south side. As for hiring down there, they have two guys last I heard, one is an O/O and the other was a brother or brother in law to the O/O. They both were over by Quanah. They would get home regular because we are into Acme real regular. But Bonham may be worth a shot, I've never really seen a hiring map, we're up and down on 35 quite a lot. As of the last two years my home time is pretty good, but you never know when you will be offered a long run on Friday. It works out most times, but usually it's on the way back sometimes you will get a shorter weekend gig, no one likes those.

 

depends on the week and what the old lady has planned, usally I like the long runs on Friday, as long as they pay good. im ready to get back into a kw thou, this international can kiss my ###!!

 

Does anyone know does Keim hire drivers with a break in driving and anywhere in the Toledo, Ohio area? No driving or criminal record just haven't driven in awhile. Thanks

 

Have not heard of or talked with any one east of Illinois. Back a couple years ago there were a few from around Martinsburg WV area, due to quite a bit of work there, but that seemed to have thinned out now. Jasper Tn. has a small group of drivers based there also. The bulk of the work comes out of Ks., Ia., Ne., Mo., but it can't hurt to give them a call. Not to sure about the break from driving part. You hear of guys being out for three years and they need to do a refresher, then others get hired and don't even need a couple weeks with a trainer. Here I've not seen any that didn't at least do some time with a trainer no matter where they cam from, or what the experience level was.

 

Ok, Thanks dirty I've been looking around for a good place to restart and they look decent. Ill shoot them a call. Just didnt wanna get the story about paying for school again and stuff. I dont mind at all the train up or whatever but i really dont want to pay again. Thanks for the information!

 

I have often wondered about that whole "you've been outta driving for three years, now go to school again" philosophy.

 

does keim have an agility test that a driver has to pass or just the norm (physical, drug screen, etc)?

 

just the norm, if you have a valid dot physical prior, they will use it. from what I hear, our jasper, tn terminal is hiring right now
