If you have 22.5 now and go up to a 24.5 I don't think you will lose any mileage, might actually gain some, wether it would be measurable or not is debateable. This is also assuming you drive the same speed after the switch. Are you doing this on the truck or trailer?

It has the 24.5 on it now. Would rpm's go up with 22.5?

If you have 22.5 LP now you could put 11/22.5 on there and shed about 50 RPM at the same speed. Not sure what it would do for you however.

Tire RPM: close most of the time.
    11/24.5: 471

    11/22.5& LP 24.5: 496

    LP 22.5: 511

Multiply tire RPM x diff ratio x trans ratio (.73) usually.

I went from 11/22.5 to a LP22.5 on my FLD and it bumped the RPM's about 50rpm and set my speedo off by 4mph (said i was going 64 when I was really going 60)

just pulled my xda energy 455's off with a whopping 62000 miles on them.you could almost measure the wear daily. my tire dealer called michelin to complain & get me a discount on some xdn2's. michelin said ##.

How much fuel did you save in those 62,000 miles? LOL

Are you going with XDN2 in a 445? There's virtually no difference in rolling resistance between the wide base and duals in that tread pattern.
