Just picked up a new uniden pc68ltw today. Plugged it in and works great, but when I transmit I get a weird feeback sound in my speaker, almost like a whine noise. Is this just because the mic on the stock radio is crap, or is this something else? My antenna is grounded properly and it's a good ground.

A lot of times you have to use a noise canceling mic like an "Astatic" to get the feed back out of a radio. There are several other brands but Astatic seems to be the most common
