I did it for a while. The tire changing part is only for axled models, if you ever want too haul into Canada you will need a dolly.

In my area there a lot of mod/mobile home builder within roughly 200 miles so there was always a steady demand for work.

You will want too have a crane mounted too the back of your tractor, you can do it with a 6 way hydro but a crane is faster IMO.

Wide load IMO is easy compaired too what a lot of van drivers have too put up with.

Oh yeah. Its hard work. Don't think its like van or even flat bed. Only gets worse in the winter. Then you have too contend with ice build up on the out riggers on your dolly and bad weather. I'll put it this way, last winter on trips that should have been 3-4 days out and back it took nearly 2 weeks. On every trip. Lol.

Now if you want too contend with that ( and a lot more) I say go for it. If not, haul flat bed.

But you will need a Dolly, don't just do hook and go. I mean you cant really make money with that.

And a off road truck is better, IMO. Or at least make sure your truck has great drives on it, because if you haul in Canada or even ND you will hit mud in the drop zone. And I mean its the kind that needs too dry before it will come off boots.

Changine those little tires isn't that bad, just make sure the axles are in good shape and not re used. I mean I had a lot of hub problems because the companys would re use the axles with out checking them out.

I know theres a few mobile haulers on this board.

That's all I can think of for now. Please feel free too pm me.

some of the "in's" is that you will not need to pee outside of your truck. simply enter the mobile home and have at thier toilet.

the "out's" are...the toilet is open to the ground, and you're still dumping on the ground, just that no one can really see you now.

Yeah, you can do that, however most of the Mod Space shacks, I hauled dumped right on top of the tires. Changing flats was already a chitty chitty job.Ha

That reminds me of a drug mule that was on a bus headed north and got spooked at the border patrol checkpoint and ran into the bathroom when the INS agents boarded and dumped all his dope in the chemical toilet.

Yeah I'm not sure where he expected it to go.
