I paid the eldest and his girlfriend to do the aluminum, had to buy them dinner tomorrow night when they are going to the movies. The wife, bless her, just got after it!

I do my own, it never fails, the truck will be dirty and the polishers come out of the woodwork to want to polish my wheels. I give them a "No Thanks, I just polished them and they're dirty."

The polish shop at Wildwood is the worst, they jump on the CB every time I come in.......

I used to let them go thru thier whole bs story, do a spot, and just see how much of thier time i could waste.
now i have coated wheels and have to say dont touch them.
I always waste the beggars time, but not if im gonna stay in that spot.

I was at t/a in laffayette la and a guy asked me for some money because he had run out of gas and that he would give me some fresh shrimp, I refused and a couple weeks later I stopped in there again and there was the same guy with the same story! Lol

I am thinking the high tech polishers would take your plastic and process it on their smart phone

At the 15 or more a wheel that they always ask, they really wouldn't have to do too many to make some pretty good money. Seen one guy do at least 8 trucks one afternoon. 48 wheels at 15 bucks per wheel is 720 bucks. Course he even told the last one he was broke and on hard times.
    ouldnt have to do

    You know the routine...

I get out of the truck, start walking towards the TS. A guy makes a beeline towards me.

    Bum: Pardon me, sir...

Six: I don't have any money.

Bum: Hear me out first, sir...

Six: Why should I listen to you when you don't listen to me? I don't want to hear about your crisis, I don't care about your family, and you've already pissed me off when you decided to ignore me. If your circumstance is so dire, what made you decide to come to a truckstop and beg for money? There's a gas station across the street!

Bum: Ummm, God bless you, sir. Have a good day, sir.

i usually try to keep a cool head, but there are two kinds of people that really piss me off. Truckstop con artists and car sales people.

No it not that they can not read it only encourage them to knock even more times. Look at all the No Lot Lizards signs, Had one on a truck before from it previous drivers. I had more knocking then with out the sign.

HAHAH I had a guy asked me for money for gas to get back to Fort Bragg NC, he was late and would be charged for being AWOL. This was at the Loves in Thomson Ga. 2 weeks later I was at the T/A in Madison Ga, Same guy came knocking, same story. I reminded him he used that story on me once before, then I grabbed my Cell Phone and dailed 911
