So newbietrucker007, a bit of advice. Don't even think of leasing a truck right out of the gate. I suggest a couple of years on the company side for everyone. There's a ton to learn just getting into operating the truck economically, let alone the business side of trucking, etc. There is a 80% failure rate on first-time leases, mostly in the first year. Make sure you read the lease thread before you take the plunge.

I'd go ahead and lease right out of the gate. Their is no business side, prime will handle all of it for you. All you can really do is keep your foot off the fuel and you will be good to go..... Its not rocket science.

@ironpony: thanks good buddy for they advice. I truly want to just get feet wet into the trucking industry..

-
That will change once your FM see you idling a lot
-
are you stupid. these new drivers are asking questions just be honest. Prime will not do all the work for you
-
Like I said I really don't let it idle very much any , cause there is no need to do so with an APU.
-
Atlanta is fine just have to kwn how to get around. But i guess i lk at it like that because i live there.

The only reason anyone could fail a lease at Prime, is if they are too lazy to keep the truck rolling...
