As god is my witness... I am on the edge of filing bankruptcy because of this as is truck that from what I can tell was never maintained nor thoroughly checked by the dealer nor the shop they have, as a matter of fact my first day I got the truck I spent the night waiting for Freightliner to fixing the computer that later went out again.

Yes the finance company they hook you up with will work with you still yet in my opinion you don't ever want to make the same mistake I did.

Yes I am with a great company now but the one punch by these guys and the two Dart has come back to haunt me like two evil spirits.

And yes Dart did what they could to help me fix it up well enough to make some cash but as soon as I did the profit went right back into this nightmare.

The trucks will be sold to you as is unless you are able to purchase the separate coverage for repairs at a later date (Which I believe is a separate company if memory serves me correctly) and even then that company will more than likely turn you down for repairs they hook your truck to a computer.

The hell you will catch as you are responsible for fixing what wasn't maintained will be mind boggling.

In my humble opinion you will want to stay far far away from these guys and or the finance company too because they have a hair trigger and will take the truck back if you can't keep up with the vicious cycle of repairs and payments too.

Remember "As is means as is"!!!

I may put up a website in their honor one day with all the receipts for repairs just to show you guys what kind of risk you may take if you buy a truck through these guys.

And I wasn't the only guy who ran into problems from day one like him I got a truck with a bad steering column and or system.

One day the DOT and or FMCSA along with Congress will what's right and clean this industry up and get off the backs of the drivers.

If I told you guys the whole story you would probably start a charity in my name... :(

The only thing that has helped me to keep going is faith and being optimistic that one day this nightmare will be over.

Actually it was owned by 2 companies as well according to Freightliner. Most repairs were to just about every external component outside the block including the dry rotted tires that were wrapped up in fresh rubber or may have been swapped out for dry rotts I'm not sure which but I could swear that it had new tires on it when I looked at it when I first checked it out so I can't say ya or nay on those but I do know one thing for sure the two companies that had it and yes you're right the prior owners did not take care of it not sure if a single person was in the chain but I do know one thing and that is I spent quite a bit to keep it running and if she holds up just one year and six months she's mine then I gotta start all over again with a newer truck just so I can run into California where I live.

If this were a game played by them I'd call it let the repairs hit em so hard he falls behind in payments then we get the truck back and sell it to another sucker and then the same happens to him and we do it all over again but its still early in the game and so I can't give an opinion like that since the finance company has extended a hand in the past to help me over a speed bump or two.

My opinion still stands the trucks are questionable at best their businesses practices are also one I would not recommend to anyone as well.

Again these are my opinions and personal experience I have been through if you or anyone else go ahead help yourself you may become a millionaire or you may become dirt po I myself haven't been able to take any real time off to enjoy life after what I have been through and trust me I'm still not done there is one other component that must be fixed and it seems to be the smog trap that's causing it to huff from time to time.

I haven't been home since oh about 2012 since Dart had stopped running to California because of the smog laws.

And let me say this as well Dart started out as a great company but went down quite a bit while I was there in my opinion of course and thus I as an independent owner operator cannot recommend them as well for other independents who have their own trucks but after talking to other operators who have or are buying a truck thru them most say they are keeping up the payments with little to no problems not one has said they play games in paying it off.
If you are an independent who has his own they will help you to fix up your truck to a point that is from what I was told no they won't fix up a blown motor but if you buy one thru them they will help you in that case so their program seems to be legit as far as sales from them to drivers.
My guess is it cost too much to play that game fighting lawsuits and the owner seems to be a nice guy and really wants to keep the family legacy intact.

Oh yes I almost forgot they have what I call a 50% Warrenty that sorta helps you if you can figure out what may be wrong with your truck because many of the Freightliner shops I did go to either was stupid or just wanted to take the money that the finance company sets aside for you for future repairs that cost oh about two grand to fix.

That money could have zeroed in on what's actually wrong with the truck because I like many drivers are not mechanics.

I only wish I knew what makes the fuel blow out the overflow tubes if I top my tanks off its very annoying to say the least.

To any of you who are tired and or worn out from driving a slow truck for a company be happy you aren't dealing with major and or costly repairs like I have been thru and save your income tax checks and then go buy your dream machine! :)

Try to pay cash if ya can or at least 50% down you'll be glad you did. ;)

Here I am again ladies and gentlemen with more repairs getting done this time the oil cooler. A few weeks ago it was the line to the EGR system that was incorrectly screwed in it was stripped and so unable to pay $900.00 for fix it I had the guy bypass it till later.
A few weeks before that it was the AC system before that the wheel seals.
This has in fact pushed me to file bankruptcy 13 and I will see what they may knock off in terms of the price if not in my target range I give it back to em.
It's in God's hands now games over. Yes I'm still running but most profit winds right back up under the hood!!!
Yes boys and girls in my very humble opinion you would be very wise to close ya eyes when ya pass by Truck Mart less you may wind up like me with broken dreams and enough stress to kill a Cobra!!!
Under a 13 I can give it back at any time during the pay off or they can settle for a few dollars and leave me the hell alone.
And so its a matter of time I will keep you guys posted about my nightmare adventures in Truck Mart land.....

More good news boys and girls!!! It seems like that sweet deal I got from Truck Mart is on her death bed and because I have struggled so much it has ruined my reputation at FX as it did at Dart with breakdown after breakdown after breakdown and now I must leave my beloved for the crows at Truck Mart to retreive.
There is antifreeze going into the engine and I was lucky enough to get hr to the FX yard.
The breakdowns have left FX with no choice but to say no to any further investments into this corpse and thus I must search for a job in the El Paso Texas area and limp to any company that will hire me.
Oh yes I have an ultra clean record no accidents nor tickets and so no worries there but my dreams have been shattered because these people sold my business a total wreck and thus I will seek out an attorney to see what can be done.
I ran I patched I ran I patched I ran I patched and thus I went under and so in my humble and ever so loveable opinion I would stay away from those people who sold me a ticking time bomb.
I really hope that the DOT starts starts acting as a screen and stands in between all transactions of all used trucks before they are sold to any and all customers in the future.
I may be able to persuade FX t loan me a down payment towards a new truck I highly doubt they will go for it since I will either break even as far as my last settlement is concerned or I may still be in the hole I did buy a lot of fuel for the last load.
I would like to also say I did not do anything wrong to the people that works at Truck Mart and why did they IMO stab my business and me in the back is a mystery to me with a truck that had breakdown after breakdown instead of selling me a good truck that would have at lest ran the entire term of the loan is beyond my comprehension.
Lucky I filled for chapter 13 now I can give the truck back to the holder of the title which is Russ D Arrow in Wisconsin or they will more than likely just give me the title since they can't make much profit off a truck that has to be towed then rebuilt and if to I will dump it off on the first buyer but I will tell them and show them all that is wrong and what has been done unlike some people I know and have done business with in the past.

I am very fortunate to have family friends who have supported me through out the whole time I have been rolling this repair as you roll nightmare and yes the good folks at FX and OOIDA are included in that shout out too.

If you know of anyone that has had dealings with Truck Mart please encourage them to come out the shadows so we can together see if businesses like these can be shutdown or at least watched very closely and that includes Russ D Arrow too, it seems they may have some issues from what I have been reading on the internet.

Guys be careful be safe keep your money in your pocket and seek out the best dealers and Warrenty you can find when searching for your dream truck and don't settle for just anything because you may end up regretting what you paid for and years of hard work will turn into days of tears...

I will tell everyone I meet that strikes up a conversation about buying a truck and tell them the truth about what I went through.

I will keep my head up and my spirit too this situation will not deter me in any shape form or fashion from my dream! It may delay it but it will not kill the dream.

Always remember if a man is gonna hold ya down he's gotta be at the bottom with ya and good people good truckers don't die they multiply!!! :)

May be some light at the end of the tunnel.... My DM at FX called and asked me to present my case to a higher up and they may be able to make the down payment for me towards a new truck.
I really hope so, I have a stellar work record as far as determination goes hell. Haven't been home for any real quality time since I signed up with FX and or Dart (Dart was a twilight zone of the highest degree different subject altogether) and thus I know how to spin those wheels catching traction due to maintainance and poor fule economy has been the two chains that has held me back.
Wish me luck people and a prayer or two would be appreciated.
Also thanks to you guys and your support and spreading of the truth and who's friend and who's to is what drivers really need today and into the future all the honest information on this site is a tremendous boost to our industry we all love.
