Unless you plan on sleeping in the trk,get the daycab but then again look at the miles.HMMM tough decision. What's the asking price for both?

each truck serves its own purpose...
Only you can determine if it finds your needs.379exhd Thanks this. -
If I had a choice, I would have gone daycab now (now that I have a sleeper), because of what I'm doing. I run cinder blocks into residential neiborhoods and moffett the blocks up onto newly poured slabs. It's kinda sorta local - I'm home every night except when I have a breakdown or something. Anyhow, it gets tight in these neighborhoods, and I would like a daycab for the better turning jackknifing capabilities. I have already lost one of the rubber fins on the side foil of my sleeper from jackknifing (thinking about just take the other one off, before I lose it too, which is inevitable).
It is nice to be able to take a nap when you want, though, without sleeping on the steering wheel, or the board between the seats.
Do you know where you will be going with the truck?Jrdude5 Thanks this. -
how big is the sleeper on the sleeper truck? a 36"
What is your purpose? -
I drive local and would kill myself with a daycab. Waiting time at shippers/receivers not to mention when the Ports decide to work like snails
Freightlinerbob Thanks this. -
If there is ever a chance that someone would pay you more money to run a route that would require an overnight I would go with a small sleeper.
Container Hauler and Jrdude5 Thank this. -
Thanks for responses, it is a 48 sleeper I can get both for 29,000 dc has about 85,000 less miles it will be local general freight in Pa nj

What is wheelbase of the two trucks? I would take a small bunk, fairly short wheelbasee truck everytime. The extra room is nice(rain suit, change of clothes, a few tools, etc) and as Container Hauler and Andre said, if you get held up somewhere, you can take a snooze comfortably.
Everyone has their preference, this is my thought...
Container Hauler and MNdriver Thank this. -
Even a 36' sleeper is nice to have when you get held up somewhere and if you really need to be short i would go with no side extenders
MNdriver Thanks this.
