Its an emission ISX, so not surprising to me.
Only way to get power and MPG from an ISX is to get rid of the emission stuff, from the guys I know with them.
MartinMNdriver and landstar8891 Thank this. -
check for boost and exhaust leaks, shut off that EGR, VGT could be working improperly
How fast were you driving? Weight? Type of trailer? -
you might have a bad turbo, just replaced mine on my '07 ISX and fuel mileage jumped way up. What they call the sector gear that engages the variable part of it stops meshing correctly. Mine had 580K on it when I replaced it.

65-66 mph, refer 14,500 empty and 79,280 loaded..... Best manifold reading ive seen is 21-22 and digital boost reading best has been 23
-
What did that set you back?
-
Sounds like it might have a boost leak with those low pressure readings
does it have a check engine light on?
I would check out the basics before you start throwing parts at it if the check engine light is on that needs to be takin care of first. Also a valve adjustment wouldn't hurt if you don't know when it was done last. -
the check engine light has come on a 2-3 times ... I added some antifreeze as it was about a gallon low but not sure that was the problem any way.I do plan on a leak test soon.
OH and that is the amber check engine light.
And over head was done about a month ago when they relpaced the injector cam and egr valve.Last edited: Jul 14, 2013

Before you bought it did you put it on a dyno?
