How do you combat defamation of character by companies who are willing to flat out lie about you on your record? Is this a legal matter? Because drivers as you know this is how a company tries to get back at you because you've made it up in your mind that you don't have to put up with there foolishness anymore! What are some ways to combat this issue?

There are at least 3 ways and circumstances in which a driver can leave a company, 2 of them may piss them off, 1 of them may piss them off bad enough to run the risk of them saying something that they might otherwise have not said. If you're sure about what was said and you're sure it cost you you a future job and you're sure it was a false statement and you're sure that you did all you could to correct the situation, and you're sure you acted rationally from beginning to end, then by all means sue to have them prove what they claim.
