How come truckers don't stick together???

This was in response to OLYMPIAN s post. Sorry

 

i rolled through los angeles last night. didn't see anything that indicated a riot. all was quiet.

i be through there tonight as i get the lucky honor of hanging out at a port in the morning.

 

the truckers of today were trained on the babysitting method. they don't care to know what it's like to have freedom.

trained on a leash. prefer to be on a leash.

they despise us. that know how to do our job without the leash. and wished we ALL were on a leash.

 

Plenty of drivers have "Manned Up"..........Problem is..There are more people like Joan Claybrook and Ann Ferro than drivers......

Personally...I hope Claybrook and Ferro get their wish...."8 Hour Total Duty Day" and "Monday thru Friday".....People will starve..They won't be able to purchase gas for their rides.....They won't be able to buy clothes......That will last a week before Ferro and Claybrook are run out on a rail and things will go back to the way they used to be....

 

The price of a free cup of coffee...What else?....

 

My suggestion for POTUS........Lewis Black.....Gillette Penn for Veep.....

 

AMEN to that. The new "trucker" is more of steering wheel holder than professional driver.

 

Well why do you bother to run then?.......Things could be worse....You could be living in a Banana Republic....

 

That depends on how much money you have left.....

 

I drive because I am a sick individual who honestly LOVES to seive a truck. I was raised in one (summer vacation = hit the road. I actually loved it. Now I can't get the diesel out of my blood.

I just wish I didn't have to take it in the rear to do what I love!
