I'm really eager to work for cox fuel transport, because of the location and the fact that every driver I talk to loves their job, I turned in a application about a week and a half ago, I called today to check up on the app and I was told they accepted a different app at this time, what does this mean? Am I able to still re apply? Or does this mean never??

your app is on file for 6 months..be prepared to take a physch test..you will be carded at every refinery and if you get locked out of any refinery they will fire you..one more thing to keep in mind they bid on some contracts every month and if they get them they go on a hiring frenzy and if their lost the next month the new guys will sit and starve

Be friendly. Go in once a month and check or sooner if there's any changes that you may want to put on your application. Can you tell us where this is at? Sometimes we may know the guy that's in charge and a little help from someone else could do it. Make it known that you really want to work there and ask if there is anymore you can do to help you along.

I'm going to go back and try to talk to them, it's located in the cudahy term in California, I live in long beach where their other term is but they said they weren't hiring at that spot just yet, so I might try at the long beach terminal too, thank you gas hauler for the inspiring words, I won't give up that easy

I'm an old ARCO driver from out of state so I only know of our terminals. Where is Cudahy? I know when we had COX as a common carrier we had no problems with them. As far as I know they are above average in companies. If you have not hauled gasoline before then they are an excellent choice.

Cudahy is near Los Angeles, I've talked with a lot of the drivers in my home town, and every driver has told me that it's the best company they have worked for, and some have been there 15+ years that they wouldn't go anywhere else, I want to retire with this company

There you go. Since being from the area you'll enjoy the work. Just hope you don't stay on the bottom of the board too long so you can bid a decent shift and vacation.
