Drove 620.3 miles today, at 58 mph. Heading east, loaded, with mild head wind. This tank reads 7.87 mph. Bazzinga!

Pulling what kind of trailer? I get my best mpg with the dgl. I usually pull rolltop trailers on this dedicated account though. This covered flat I have now is like pulling a 13'6'' lumber load that is also 108" wide.

Pulling any trailer. I think I've mentioned it before, I also use a fuel additive, Diesel Kleen. I use, and get better results from the white bottle, not the grey.

Well, today's the day I have to get ready to go back out. Gonna go buy groceries later on. My wife's gonna make potatoes salad, chicken salad, and sloppy joes for me to take and eat on this next week. Yum! Guys be safe. Stay in the "right" lane.

First thing's first, I hope your dad is recovering well. Tough things to hear while you're out on the road, I'm sure. Well, I am a recent CDL school grad, now doing a lot of research trying to get on board with a good employer. I read your thread here all the way through. I have found it to be eye opening. I was thinking TMC and was told to check out Maverick. I like your positive outlook and work ethic, but I remember how excited you were at the onset of this thread, starting out with Maverick. Given that you've had so many trailer issues and mileage issues, do you still rate Maverick above TMC? Do you haul Glass on a flatbed? Is tying Glass down easier than anything else you would have otherwise hauled? Thanks for your feedback and for this thread in general!

Alright then. 1st thing, thank you for what you said about my father. He is fine. Also, thank you for reading my thread. I'm going to answer your questions HONESTLY. I used to drive for TMC, here by named "that company of which we will not speak." I do not blame Maverick for the trailer repair issues. I lay the blame on the DRIVER that had the trailer before me. Yes, there have been bumps in the road. Some are my doing, and some are not my doing. I will label this as a "learning curve." I cannot be more serious when I say in MY opinion, Maverick is a better company than the other. Our equipment is new and well maintained. The others is old 7+ yrs, also well maintained. I have a thread on TMC, if you look you will find it. As for load securement, securing glass is easy peasy. Being in the glass division tho is very hard work. That's probably why it pays ALOT more than the other divisions. Ultimately, the choice is yours. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. Be safe, and stay thirsty my friend. Ha!

Alrighty, I'm here at the Pietro at ext11, off I35 in Mn. Nice place. My miles have been GREAT! I off load as soon as I'm done getting a trailer light replaced. I'll be out of hours when I'm empty. So, tomorrow morning, I'm stopping for groceries then heading to Madison, Wi for another load. This one delivers on Tuesday in Toronto. As I said, miles are great. I now "officially" have zero complaints with Maverick. Y'all be safe and keep it in the "right" lane.

Well, I'm back out of Canada. Too easy. Went in at Port Huron, Mi and came out at Buffalo, NY. I'm headed to Carlisle for another load. This ones headed to Wichita Falls, Tx. Gooood miles. The problem is, the load doesn't deliver until August 6th!! Yikes!! That'll put this weeks miles at LESS than 900! If I can get there by Friday afternoon, they will unload me. Yes!! Again, the problem is... I'm running on recaps. I won't have the hours I need to get it there by Friday.
