Lately? Shoot, my last 05 Prostar, which was an awesome good riding truck, had more electrical issues than the field in used in the superbowl.
Freightliner or International?

stay away from prostars with maxxforce 13. I drove one and the engine blew up not reaching 100000 miles.

My 2012 cascadia pulls well, better engine brake, and comfortable. Detroit dd15 455 hp and 10 sp. i can stay on 10th gear when driven more 50 mph. when i drive 69 mpg, i get 7.8 mpg.

*right foot* is right. both not bad and as described. i'd add however, that if you are to drive mountains much, go with freightliner. international drives like an suv, smooth and quiet, but jakes don't hold much. almost feels like you don't have jakes. also, cascadia feels better in high winds and has more room. neither is bad.

I put 250000 miles on a prostar with maxxforce and can honestly say it was the worst truck I have ever driven ( drove a gmc 9500 back in the day and it was more comfortable and dependable with a 238 DD) maxxforce is a poor design had many egr problems truck handled poorly and was not driver freindly..I got a new cascadia with a DD13 just hit 26000 miles and have had no problems and love it rides ok handles great and it set up way better for a driver..fliner is ugly but its a good truck for a fleet truck...

So your carrier is switching from an American truck to one made in Mexico. Did he buy stock in Daimler? Only a fool would buy NAVISTAR stock. They'll probably be bankrupt in a year or two.

My dislike about the International is not the engine or such but storage in the bunk. Seems you would have to get container to put stuff in or it be falling off the shelves going down the road.

I've had both and LOVE the prostar! But I have a Cummings in it. No Maxforce

i drive a prostar with the cummins engine...i love it!
