northeast miles

Sounds ballpark for July.

There is a cycle that reefer freight goes through every year. High tide is the spring months through the 4th of July. At the beginning of the third quarter (now) freight slows markedly... all July's suck big time! It will pick up in the fall, peaking around Thanksgiving, then slowly taper off, until you hit the post-holiday blahs. February sucks pretty bad too. Happens every year to one extent or another.

It's about averages... and you should average around 2000 to 2400 miles per week over the course of an entire year on NE regional from what I've heard. That's why you get the extra 5-cpm.

 

Its hot in the Midwest, you would beg for a break.

 

You are getting SCREWED PAL....If you are on ''mile'' pay,run from northeast as fast as you can....150% turnover up here...

30 years of trucking up here and i laugh at these company drivers on the ''mile'' pay working the Northeast...They are getting RIPPED OFF....I will show you how....

My Run....

330 miles to Queens NY...= 2,200 to truck...

fuel is 250.00
toll is 120.00

2200-250-120 = 1830.00


Now lets pay company driver...

.40 cents a mile x 330 = 132.00 to dumbed down driver...


1830-132.00 = 1698.00 profit to me doing nothing...

 

It doesnt change your numbers a whole lot, but it helps if you know what your talking about when belittling our drivers.

Newbs at Prime in the northeast start at .46/mile...

 

Correct Sir...The ''bring home'' is around 1550.00 after L/S CUT for this 6 hour run..Then i avg about 900-1400 out of NJ...
