    ooppps!! Wrong website!!

Anyway, I'm thinking of Schneider. As any can see, I drive a weener wagon right now. SNI a has terminal right behind our dropyard in Woodhaven Mi. Also a terminal in Guelph Ontario. Both right up my alley. Also pay me .40 a mile, up from the "excellent" .33 I'm getting from weener.
I guess I'm looking for any feed back from SNI Canada drivers. Been in Ontario and Quebec for my 2nd complete winter. I love every minute of being there.
Now, could I expect to go further into the Mother Country?
How many loads, [ballpark], could I expect out of Canada and /or Woodhaven?
Would they put a US citizen on a Canada only schedule?
    Does SNI allow inverters?

Currently hold FAST credentials. Does SNI provide transponders and bridge cards for border jumpers?

And one more? Just what are the trucks governed too?

A little more upbeat from my previous posts of late. But I've had it with Werner. I've said it before, and will again, my DM's and anyone I've dealt with out of the terminals has been excellent in every way. Just can't handle anymore of the BS behind the scene.:biggrin_25513:

I think most if not all the trucks are governed at 65. I could be wrong.

schneider is governed at 63 mph is what i was told. Not sure about their canadian runs but they also have an agility test physical in which they test your heart rate after each activity. They have pics of the tests on their website.

Ya, I've heard 65, 63, and 62. I thought I'd heard somewhere that some of the dedicated trucks were turned up to 68.
    Confusion reigns supreme. LOL:biggrin_25523:

I'm applying to Schneider for training and I'm also interested in driving Canada after I get some driving experience.

IMHO you'd likely enjoy Canada after driving in the US for awhile. I can see the eyes rolling and the alienation setting in as I write.
But really, the worse part of the whole process is coming into the US. You'll experience without a doubt why other people don't like US people. We're all Americans by the way.
customs is the most arrogant, condescending group of misfits I've ever met. I could go on forever about most of them. Some of them aren't bad at all.
I see you're from Michigan as well, where?

When in Canada, or Quebec that is, Canada's version of Cali, things are a bit different. They insist on pretending they're in Europe.EVERYTHING is in French. I'm really not slamming Quebec, it's their country, and I've no right to condemn them, and, once you get used to the Montreal and Quebec City area, it's just as easy. Ya, you'll run into a few people that really don't speak English. But, in my experience, they'll find someone who does, or you'll work it between you.
Only rarely, and I do mean RARELY, have I ever had a problem there.
Yes, you can spend US money anywhere in Canada. Usually I don't have much in the way of US funds, so it's a bit difficult when I get back in Michigan, but that's my own fault at times for not planning a bit better, and then hunt for an ATM.:biggrin_2552:

I actually grew up near Monroe. Right now I'm living in Camden in Hillsdale County. I'm very close to the tri-state border near both Ohio and Indiana.

You did the right thing getting out of this part of the state. Unfortunately, SE Michigan is the only part of the state some people see, and it gives the whole state a bad reputation.
I've got 20 acres in Northern Lower that I built a house on. As soon as I get 2 years in with the big companies, I'm going back there. I tried that last Oct/Nov. After being with a small company for 2 weeks, it was found that their insurance company wouldn't cover me with my experience. I had a 379 Pete and pulled 48' dryvan, and 53' spread axle curtainside pulling loads of machinery. They kept me in northern Mich. as well. Good gig, 22% of the loads. They said to come back, I plan on it.:biggrin_25519:
