Have a Pete 385 & went to a local Western Star dealer one day for general parts. Talked to the parts guy & he told me that Gabriel shocks are a direct oem replacement per part number. He said Monroe consolidated many of their shocks to general use. He explained it better than I am.

That said, went with the Gabriel's replacing two very short lived constantly leaking or misting Monroe's. Need to do drives & cab as well & will probably go with Gabriel.

Monroe gas best bang for the buck and way out live oem shocks plus better handling,,, don't know about that misting problem ? I had them all away around my t-600 and not one failed in 2 yrs or about 250,000 miles.....
