There will be times you will be glad to have another set of eyes. Parking at night in a Truck Stop for instance... or a tight back at a shipper or received, its 21 days of final practice and tune up before you hit the road on your own.

If you are going up the hill, you #### well better downshift! LOL, I know what you meant...

Stevens will cover mountains with you in more depth than you ever thought possible

FFE is a safe company with a better reputation than Cr england and stevens. The pay is low but the freight is there. CR is a leasing company and will rip you off, and Stevens, well there is little to be desired on their training. Almost every single stevens driver Ive seen is horrible at backing. One almost took my mirror off next me me backing in high reverse over steering all over the place and his trainer just watched him do it outside truck, didn't even make him GOAL. Guess they give anyone a truck over there. Scary.

FFE'S school is pretty decent, although very accelerated. But they'll teach you how to safely drive AND they will actually teach you how to back in from and angle, and make you set up properly to do it. So I give them lots of credit there.

And for those of you who have attended this school, you'll know what I mean by the following:

Make sure you follow their instructions EXACTLY, or Crazy Connie will chase you around the parking lot :)

I can remember delivering at US Foods in Livermore, CA. Everyone-even experienced drivers had issues because the local trucks were parked in front of the dock in such a way that --anyway, if you've been there you know what I mean.. There was Schaefer, training a newbie how to get r done. and I was impressed with the training he was getting, Some trainers don't help at all.
