I am new to cbs and trucking. I am just getting ready to start school. After I graduate and get on my own. Should I just find a good CB shop to have them install a decent CB and attena set. Our can I just buy a Cb and plug it In? I will be in a Volvo 670. I just want a good CB set up but not sure where to start?

I suggest buying a Cobra 25, a Wilson 2k trucker antenna, and some RG8X coax, and a Radio shack SWR meter, then learning how to tune it yourself, so you can do quick and easy fixes over the road. Because not all CB shops (which are far and few these days) do installs.

Ya I looked at a cobra 29. Will the coax wire in the truck not be good?

It will be "ok" but not as good as what you can get.

    mwc1576 Thanks this.
