It appears that more high in the hierarchy the more arrogant they become, you the old saying the branch which has more fruit is more down-to-earth. Honesty is the best policy and all that..... I appears that that is BS. The more I work in this industry the more it shows those values are a joke. I may be arrogant to some extant, but no where close to these Landstar reps are. I called on load to Somerset NJ to landstar which was not posted as a team load the guy who answered the call asks are you a team and I told him I can arrange it. He hangs up the phone by saying never mind.

It amazes me how people support the arrogance dripping from their faces, so called brokers!!!!!!!!!!
Hanging up the phone means "F off, I am a big shot of some kind or my sh####t don't stink or I have connection in the under cover industry"
I have no clue even if some one was to call and ask the same question people in the sales area are supposed to have some kind or courtesy, but seems like either all are con-artists working with the behind the seem terror groups or the whole industry is that way.
Any way I have not been able to book a load for last 4 days and all the calls are answered by this kind of arrogant people and the rates they have been offering requires an immediate hangup and bunch of curses. But I have not even cursed any one out yet in last 5 years. I was in NJ for a couple of days before I had to take this load from Landstar at a very low rate for 1200 miles for $1800 and that was the best (behind the seen terrors let me book) So I ran empty from Miami to Jacksonville, and after two days of really ridiculous offers I ran empty to Savannah GA. All the answers are same what they were in NJ or Jacksonville. The tra#####sh says "look man it is 1000 miles to Hackensack NJ and 45k max, and pays $1000. Either that or all the loads are booked as soon they pop up.

Ok, thought You said Truckers were rude. Brokers, I look at load boards when I need to. I dead head as much as I need to. Sounds like you have been playing with those clowns on U Ship or something. When I close the door on my tractor, kiddy times over. They call me, $100.00 to show. $60 an hour if the load is not ready. (I give them 2 hours) I'm a nice guy. After that, 110.00 per hour, detention. My lawyer gets some, I get the rest. I'm not some want to be on a TV show.

Well folks it is OK you can laugh when the dog is running after me, but remember the same dog will be running after you and then your laugh will come to quick end.
Here is my 5th day in Savannah, no load yet. I called Bear Trans on the load listed below, Kadie intercepted the call and said I do not have to talk to the person whose extension 8321 Chip Hyde, and said it pays $1200 to Hazleton Pa or some odd city in the mountains.
Who is running for Bear Trans if they are serious about the $1200 for approx 1000 miles run including dead heads??????

I'm with you, but only partially. Why sit 5 days waiting on 1 decent load? You could have done 1 break even load to reposition into a better lane 4 days ago and got better rates to where that 1 would have been a wash.

Also, learn to lie like they will to you. I did a team load out of Florida Tuesday for a decent rate expedited. My team driver is always in the sleeper! Right

Interesting. During this time (loaded Tuesday night, back home Thu night) I nearly ran a circle around you, going thru Jacksonville via Douglas, GA. Guess I should have waited a week in Plant City, FL for a great outbound rate? Stupid me booked a good enough rate to drive back to ATL empty, which is what I ended up doing vs. grabbing some future chicken nuggets out of South GA, which didn't work out this time.

You do know there's cheap beer loads galore out of JAX that will load on a van to get you into a better market if you don't want to bounce MT, right? Hope they don't revoke my trucking mafia card for telling you that secret.
